Sunshine

Our foster daughter left us June 10, 2011 but is still in our hearts.

Smiley

Known for his weird photo op "smiles" in my blog, my 8 year old is now known as Smiley

Giggles

My 9 year old often giggles when getting in trouble (I hear this weird giggle of his frequently) so I have now named him Giggles in my blog.

Wannabe

My 11 year old loves to tell others what to do but also likes to suggest to me and my husband what the brothers' punishments should be when they break rules. I've named him Wannabe because he wants to act like the parent.

Sheriff

My sister provided me the name for my 13 year old because when she hears him talk to his brothers she laughs and says "there's the Sheriff". He always has ideas of how everyone should be playing the game or doing things and giving them rules of how to do it. Where did he get that from I wonder???? hmmmm...

Robin's Rules

An old friend of mine called into question why the name robinsrules in my html (actually he called me a geek). I suppose I should explain. He read it as Robin rules versus Robin's rules and I merely omitted the apostrophe when creating the html. There are certain rules that make me happy like ...

1. keep my husband close by because he makes me laugh even when I don't feel like it, ( and if he can't - call my sisters)

2. pay attention to nature because it helps me be peaceful,

3. always remember to pray and be grateful because then I'm nicer to my kids (and they'll thank me for it!)

4. take lots of pictures of my boys because when I look at their pictures I more easily forgive them when they break the t.v., take pizza from the fridge in the middle of the night, punch or bite each other, or hide chocolate bars and other candy under the couches to eat later - true stories - Serenity now.

About Me

robin: I am a mother of 4 beautiful (they prefer I say handsome) boys. They are 13, 11, 9 and 8 years old respectively. I have been married for 18 years now to my husband Brett who makes me laugh every day. He is my happiness. I am originally from eastern Canada and moved to the States 19 years ago. Brett and I have been foster parents since 2007 and enjoy doing fostercare. It is not without its heartaches but it also comes with great rewards.
