You Know It's Summer When...
I know it's officially summer when my kids start begging me to take them to the splash park everyday.
Whoever invented the automated phone system... idiot. I'll spare you my tirade.
Whoever invented splash parks ... genius. Where do I send your medal of honor?
I also know it's summer when my nose is assaulted with the smell of campfire in clothing and my ears hear my husband snoring away because he just couldn't get enough sleep at scout camp. One camp down... three more to go. Granted two are day camps for cub scouts so I'll be spared the campfire smell but not the layers of dirt and the whips boys always come home with from the "store".
Sheriff had a great time despite going to camp with his father (hehehe).
And Brett learned a valuable lesson at this camp. Never tell a scout that if he catches a lizard he has to cook it and eat it - because chances are ... he'll do it. Sorry to say that a lizard actually DID die in this photograph but fortunately was NOT eaten.
