I closed my eyes for the movie in the dome. I think they make these movies to delight kids but torture adults whose eyes can no longer take the mass input of information on all sides. I gave up after 10 seconds and enjoyed the 39 minutes of not hearing "mom, mom, mom".
Such was not the case for the rest of time in the planetarium. Still, I learned a lot about planets that I either did not know or had forgotten from when I was a kid. I'm not sure how much my kids absorbed. It is more important to them to fight over turns pushing buttons and touching things. They were excited over the free popcorn the membership gave them though. That kept their hands busy for 5 minutes. :) Three for Smiley who dropped his.
But I'm hoping we can make it back a few times this year as the boys had a great time. Maybe I can even test myself on the quiz machine and see if I remember what I learned from this trip. (I doubt it.)
