I haven't been very ambitious lately in my cooking but when I saw this idea in October's Family Fun magazine I just had to give it a try. Their recipe called for a humus dip which I wasn't so keen on. I decided on more of a 7-layer dip idea instead. Just choose your favorite 7-layer dip recipe and be sure to end with guacamole dip on top for the graveyard "grass". Then add crackers for gravestones using edible marker to write on some of the tombstones. Hardboil some eggs, peel them and cut slits for eyes and push in some olive slices for eyes and mouth. The trees are broccoli and celery and the graveyard fence is made of pretzels.

That is adorable!! I love the pretzel fence. I am going to make a goblin cheese ball for a party on Saturday. The kids saw it on Paula Dean on the Food Network. You make any kind of cheese ball you like, cover it with plain cream cheese and then make a face with green olives for the eyes and toes, green tortilla chips for ears, a peppercini pepper for the nose, carrots for the teeth and shredded cabbage for hair. Pretty funny but yummy!
That sounds great!
The dip is very cute.
Here's a "blast from the past" for you. Driving to work the other morning "The Reflex" came on the radio and I automatically thought of our version from Girls' Camp - "The Kleenex" : )
I have soooo many camp memories including Monk's meals. Those were my favorite meals at camp. No making sounds or your utensils were taken away. The meal was always Kraft dinner and chocolate pudding for dessert. Somehow I never made it through the meal with all my utensils.... go figure!
Your dip was so cute! I'm glad I got to see it in person!
