Injury Math

What do you get when you take two cute boys shooting fake guns (using their hands)

plus a great big jump .... (to get away from the fake gun fire of course)

plus hard tile

EQUALS =

1 splint on Sheriff's foot for the fracture below the third metatarsal

1 boot on Sheriff's foot which replaced the splint the following week

1 pair of crutches

2 $30.00 co-pays (more bills to follow I'm sure)

and

3 trips to After hours instacare (one for the initial Sunday visit and two so far for follow-up visits)

That doesn't stop him from having fun though...

I am so sorry! Katrina fractured the growth plate of her fibula in Nov. and looked just like that for 6 weeks followed by two months of therapy wearing an ankle brace then refractured it in April followed by 6 weeks of an air cast. I don't even want to add up all of the co-pays. Thank goodness for flex spending! Good luck! You absolutely have all of my sympathy.

ohhhhh Candice!!! that's a long time and a RE-FRACTURE!!!! Yikes!!! I'm hoping Sheriff's is small enough that it is healing so miraculously well that the boot comes off next week before going to Powell. Wishful thinking???? most likely!!! but sand in a boot??? nasty stuff.

Broc can always carry him around at Lake Powell. Broc doesn't know it yet. I am volunteering him! LOL!

so sorry! I am sure he is glad that you are his mom and not me - he probably got a lot more sympathy and love instead of the "that's what you get when you goof around" he would have got here! Hope he has a quick recovery!

word verification is "pants" maybe that means he will get his boot off and be able to wear pants soon (hopefully it doesn't mean he will need to wear pants in powell to keep the sand out!)
