Fun with Friends

Last night we were invited out with our friends Alicia and T.J. (its actually just TJ - I put the periods in to bug him... hey what does T.J. stand for anyways????) We went to the Jazz vs New Orleans Hornets game. GO JAZZ!!!

I guess I haven't watched the Jazz for a long time (not that I'm a sports fan or anything) but the only player I recognized was Kirolenko (did I spell that right???).

We started out with a great dinner and I must admit I ate WAY too much (but then who doesn't at a buffet? ) Our seats were fantastic and it felt like you were right there on the court.

Although initially I was a little distracted by the glare in front of me.

The game did get close in the third quarter. I asked T.J. what the point spread was and he held up two fingers. (its a good thing it wasn't a one point difference.) hahaha!!!

Alicia was making some weird gestures with her hands at first to distract the opposing team.

I was trying to figure out what she was doing when I looked around and realized that she was using her fists as "clappers".

The Jazz pulled ahead in the end though and even for someone who does not follow basketball it was a great game and a fun time. Thanks Alicia and T.J. for letting us tag along for a great night!

Robin- Nice Photoshop work. Those 2 fingers look a lot alike. It was a one point spread you just kept looking at the wrong scoreboard. I know that being Canadian and growing up watching hockey its much easier to keep track of the score, but just remeber your in America now ehhh.

What Photoshop T.J.???? oh, you mean that picture of Alicia... I know, I know, I'm still working on my copy and pasting skills and I admit I was a little confused by the different boards with all the numbers they had on them but thanks for your help with the score last night.

And believe me... I remember every day of my life that I'm no longer in Canada ehhh. I have my awesome husband and kids though and the great weather here to pull me through my homesickness for family back there, Swiss Chalet quarter chicken dinners, poutine, Tim Horton's timbits, the missing "u" in so many words, and Canadian chocolate like Smarties, Aero, Mr. Big, and Caramilk.

why thank you. not bad for a beginner. I LOVE my class and I'm learning so much each time I go. I need to practice though so that I remember what I am learning.

we weren't in our seats for the Larry Miller part (we were waiting to be seated) so it was hard to see what was going on .. they were shining a light down on his seat while doing the tribute to him. I thought it was really cool that they did a moment of silence for him and the whole stadium was quiet. At the end a guy shouts "we love you Larry!!!!"
